How to request deletion

To request the deletion of your data, send an email to info@madalamachine.com with the subject line Data Deletion Request. In the body of the email, please include:

• The email address associated with your Madala Machine account
• Your full name or the project name registered on the platform
• A brief confirmation that you wish to delete all data linked to your account

We do not require a specific form or template. A clear email with the above details is sufficient for us to process your request. We will never ask for your password or OAuth credentials in an email.

What will be deleted

Upon receiving and verifying your request, we will permanently remove the following categories of data from our systems:

• Account information: your profile details, email address, project settings, brand voice preferences, and any other personal identifiers stored in your account.
• OAuth tokens and credentials: encrypted access tokens for YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, X, and any other connected platforms. Revocation of these tokens will also be triggered on the respective platforms where supported.
• Connected platform data: cached page metadata, audience insights, ad account links, and any other data fetched from third-party services on your behalf.
• Content history: all posts, captions, images, videos, scheduled content, drafts, archives, and associated metadata you created or uploaded through Madala Machine.
• Analytics records: engagement metrics, performance reports, audience demographics, and any other analytics data derived from your connected social accounts.

Deletion is comprehensive and irreversible. Once the process is complete, your data cannot be recovered. We strongly recommend exporting any content or reports you wish to keep before submitting a deletion request.

Deletion timeline

We will acknowledge receipt of your request within 48 hours. The complete deletion of your data will be actioned within 30 days of receiving your request, in accordance with applicable data protection regulations including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA) in South Africa.

In some cases, we may retain minimal anonymised or aggregated records for legitimate operational purposes such as billing reconciliation, fraud prevention, or legal compliance. These retained records are stripped of all personal identifiers and cannot be linked back to you.

Important notes

• Deleting your Madala Machine account does not delete content you already published to YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, X, or other platforms. You must remove that content separately on each platform.
• If you have an active subscription or billing agreement, we recommend cancelling it before requesting deletion to avoid unexpected charges.
• If you change your mind after submitting a request, contact us as soon as possible. We can only halt the deletion process if it has not yet been executed.
